Is lying morally wrong?

Is lying morally wrong?  Theoretically lying is morally wrong ,because  if  we are lying , we are doing something against the good that is truth. But I think that we need to lie sometimes. Usually in these „little lies”.When we don’t want to hurt someone we care about and we know that the truth can be unpleasant for him.  But we are still lying to this person, and when he  discovers the truth he may be angry for us. That’s why, I don’t know if this is correct behavior. So, in my opion we should avoid lying, but  I also think that „little lies” is not very,very bad and morally wrong.
